Delft
Hand painted tiles have been used as decorative surfaces and to create great atmosphere in various rooms throughout the centuries.
Delft tiles originated in the Netherlands in the late 16th century as a local, affordable alternative to the opulent blue-and-white porcelain being imported from China by the Dutch East India Company. They became very fashionable in the 17th and 18th centuries, taking Europe by storm.
We have painted and transformed a selection of 17th century floral Delft tiles into a characterful wallpaper with a modern twist.
All wallpapers are made to order and take approximately 7 weeks to complete. Due to the bespoke nature of the production process, small colour variations may occur between samples and delivered rolls.
This is a paste to wall product and cross lining a wall in preparation is recommended before hanging the wallpaper.
