Basil, the 4 year old Labrador Retriever at Mia Reay, Newson’s Yard
“Basil was meant to be a super serious gun dog,” says Mia. “But during Covid he became a super serious home dog. Basil is also a service dog and comes with me everywhere. Plane, train, countryside and of course to my showroom, Mia Reay on 57 Pimlico Road. Both of his parents are black labradors and Basil came out yellow with a large round black spot on his belly as a birthmark. My step-mother in law had a dog called Cybil. So to follow the Faulty Towers tradition, Basil was always going to be Basil. He identifies mostly as human, and is much better at reading people than fellow dogs.”
